On July 25, 2022, Campaign Legal Center (CLC) President Trevor Potter gave an address for the Chautauqua Lecture Series at the Chautauqua Institution in western New York.

His speech, entitled, “The Crisis Facing American Democracy,” focused on some of the greatest threats to democracy today yet also highlighted potential solutions while providing us hope and inspiration for a better tomorrow — if we act now.

This program was made possible by The Charles Ellsworth Goodell Lectureship in Government and Public Affairs.

Trevor has previously spoken at Chautauqua, including for its July 4th oration in 2016.

We must protect Americans’ freedom to vote and make the promise of democracy real for us all.
