On Aug. 24, 2022, Campaign Legal Center (CLC) filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) alleging that unknown contributors violated the federal straw donor ban by making a $300,000 contribution to the super PAC Save Missouri Values in the name of “SQI Limited, LLC,” an obscure Missouri limited liability company, thereby concealing the true contributors’ identities from public disclosure.
