CLC Alleges Straw Donor Scheme Illegally Funneled $19.7 Million to Super PAC Network
On November 2, 2026, Campaign Legal Center (CLC) filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) alleging that in the weeks leading up to the 2026 election, a group of unknown individuals formed and used an opaque Delaware corporate entity, United Futures Inc. (UFI), to unlawfully funnel almost $20 million to a network of super PACs while concealing the identities of the true contributors. By illegally concealing who supplied this funding, the people behind this straw donor scheme denied voters the transparency they needed to make informed choices in the 2026 election. Moreover, at least four of the super PACs that UFI financed knowingly participated in this unlawful scheme, and one of these super PACs—United Futures PAC—also violated federal reporting requirements by failing to disclose over $7.5 million in contributions it made to other super PACs.
