CLC Alleges Brandon Herrera, Texas Congressional Candidate, Illegally Concealed Campaign Spending
On May 21, 2026, Campaign Legal Center (CLC) filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) alleging that congressional candidate Brandon Herrera, his principal campaign committee, Brandon Herrera for Congress, as well as Herrera’s leadership PAC (BRANDON PAC) and an authorized joint fundraising committee (Brandon Herrera Victory Fund), violated federal reporting requirements. Specifically, CLC’s complaint alleges that Herrera’s campaign and committees have unlawfully concealed the true recipients of over $2.7 million by funneling virtually all of their operating expense payments to a shell entity, Texas Strategy Group, which does not appear to be a bona fide commercial vendor and is therefore almost certainly not the true recipient of the Herrera committees’ payments.
