A federal judge blocked the Trump campaign's efforts to overturn election provisions allowing election officials to begin canvassing vote-by-mail ballots 10 days before Election Day and allowing ballots without a postmark to be counted if received within 48-hours of the election.

This decision will help preserve the ability to vote safely during the pandemic and avoid the chaos and confusion that would have ensued had the Trump campaign’s request been granted.

Campaign Legal Center (CLC) is joined by New Jersey Institute for Social Justice and the League of Women Voters of New Jersey (LWVNJ) in this effort to protect mail-in voting in the state.

Our most important right as Americans is the right to vote and America should ensure that every eligible citizen, no matter what race or ethnicity, has a convenient way to vote in the election and have their vote counted.
