Matt Simmons

Prior to joining Campaign Legal Center, Matt worked as a legal practice assistant and paralegal at various law firms. In the Fall of 2024, he served on the Harris campaign, where he focused on voter protection and coordinating communications between the field and campaign headquarters.

Most recently, Matt worked as a Senior Administrative Associate at a D.C.-based research and public policy group. There he provided direct support to their C-suite executives and senior leadership team, planning and executing numerous organization-wide initiatives.

Matt graduated with honors from the University of California, Berkeley, with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Public Policy. His honors thesis on the cross-partisan influence of the solicitor general’s amicus curiae briefs was recognized with distinction. He joined CLC in May 2026.
