The complaint stated that Mashburn attended two Heritage events after joining Interior as White House liaison. One event was a Sept. 29, 2017, speech by Zinke followed by a "private lunch with high-ranking Heritage employees and others," according to the complaint. Delaney Marsco, ethics counsel at the Campaign Legal Center, said today that she was glad the matter was investigated.
