Noted: Complaint alleges largest individual contribution to pro-Trump super PAC part of ‘straw donor scheme

The Post’s Isaac Stanley-Becker reports that a complaint with the Federal Election Commission, filed Monday by the nonprofit Campaign Legal Center, argues that the $500,000 donation represents a straw donor scheme masking the true source of the money. Federal law prohibits making a contribution in another person’s name. According to the complaint: “There is no record of ML Organization having any activities or generating any income” since it was registered as a Delaware LLC in April 2018.
