First-time Tennessee voters must vote in person again, appeals court rules

“It shouldn’t require a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic for Tennesseans to exercise the option to vote by mail,” Molly Danahy, legal counsel at Campaign Legal Center, and an attorney for the plaintiffs, said in an emailed statement. “Many thousands of Tennesseans relied on mail voting for a variety of reasons in 2020 and should continue to be able to do so if that’s their choice in future elections.”
