United States v. Bellows — Defendant-Intervenor League of Women Voters of Maine’s Motion to Dismiss
On December 12, 2025, Campaign Legal Center, along with our co-counsel at the Brennan Center and Johnson & Webbert, filed a Motion to Dismiss the United States’ complaint on behalf of Defendant-Intervenor the League of Women Voters of Maine. The brief argues that the United States does not have the authority under the National Voter Registration Act, the Help America Vote Act or the Civil Rights Act to demand sensitive voter data from the state of Maine.
