Proposed Motion to Dismiss

On November 25, 2025, Campaign Legal Center (CLC), on behalf of the national League of Women Voters of Michigan filed a proposed motion to dismiss Plaintiff’s complaint. The proposed motion argues that Plaintiff has failed to state a claim under the Civil Rights Act (CRA), National Voter Registration Act (NVRA), and Help America Vote Act (HAVA) because it fails to include the requisite law or facts to establish that the attorney general is entitled to Michigan voters’ sensitive private data.
