Pop-Up Super PAC Illegally Concealed Political Ad Spending, CLC Alleges

Date

On May 14, 2026, Campaign Legal Center (CLC) filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) alleging that “Lead Left PAC” — a pop-up super PAC formed less than three weeks ago that has reported spending over $2.4 million to date on political ads targeting Democratic primary races in Nebraska, Pennsylvania and Texas — has illegally violated federal reporting rules. Specifically, Lead Left PAC has reported spending all its money on independent expenditures to two newly formed entities, Piruzi LLC and OTG Media LLC, that are almost certainly not the true recipients providing media services to the super PAC. As such, Lead Left PAC appears to be using these LLCs as payment clearinghouses to conceal the actual vendors, undermining crucial electoral transparency for voters.
