On May 11, 2026, Plaintiffs filed an opposition to Intervenors' motion asking the District Court to set aside its liability and remedial judgments and revert to the prior legislative map in light of the Supreme Court's decision in Louisiana v. Callais. Plaintiffs' response explains that the map should not change in the middle of an ongoing primary campaign, Intervenors face no harm from the current status quo, and that even under Callais, Plaintiffs would prevail in their suit under Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act.
