Order Granting Preliminary Injunction in Part

On April 24, 2025, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia issued an order granting a preliminary injunction and blocking the Election Assistance Commission from taking steps to implement Section 2(a) of Executive Order 14248, which would have required the addition of a documentary proof of citizenship (DPOC) requirement on the Federal voter registration form.
