Opposition to Defendant Secretary of State’s Motion to Dismiss

On July 9, 2026, Campaign Legal Center (CLC), on behalf of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), Texas LULAC, LULAC Council 102, and Common Cause, filed a brief in opposition the Texas secretary of state’s motion to dismiss the organizations’ complaint challenging that Texas' reliance on the federal Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program to verify the citizenship status of registered voters and remove voters from the rolls violates the National Voter Registration Act's prohibition on uniform and non-discriminatory voter list maintenance.
