Ninth Circuit Order
The Ninth Circuit ruled affirming the district court’s rulings on the NVRA claims, the LULAC Consent Decree claim, the Civil Rights Act claims, and the Equal Protection claim. The Ninth Circuit also vacated the district court’s factual finding that H.B. 2243 was not enacted with intent to discriminate, and remand for further proceedings consistent with the opinion. The Ninth Circuit further held that the Republican Appellants’ appeal of the district court’s holding that there was a waiver of legislative privilege is moot.
