Millions for Prisoners New Mexico v. Toulouse Oliver Amended Complaint

On September 26, 2024, CLC and New Mexico attorney, Daniel Yohalem, sued New Mexico officials and agencies on behalf Millions for Prisoners New Mexico and several individual New Mexicans. This lawsuit challenges New Mexico’s burdensome and discriminatory requirement that voters with past felony convictions can only register to vote in person. On March 18, 2025, Plaintiffs amended their lawsuit to seek relief from county clerks who continue to deny eligible New Mexicans the opportunity to register to vote.
