Kohls v. Bonta — Amicus Brief

On June 6, 2025, CLC filed an amicus brief in Kohls v. Bonta to help defend a recently-enacted California law that prohibits the creation of deceptive political “deepfakes” impersonating candidates or election officers and requires disclaimers on other types of synthetic media such as AI-generated satire concerning candidates.
