Complaint: League of United Latin American Citizens et al. v. Nelson et al.

On March 26, 2026, Campaign Legal Center (CLC), on behalf of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), Texas LULAC, LULAC Council 102, and Common Cause, sued the Texas secretary of state, as well as Brazoria, Collin, Dallas and Denton counties, challenging that Texas' reliance on the federal Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program to verify the citizenship status of registered voters and remove voters from the rolls violates the National Voter Registration Act's prohibition on uniform and non-discriminatory voter list maintenance.
