CLC Testimony to DC Council in Opposition to Bill 26-325

CLC's Kedric Payne testified before the Committee of the Whole for the Council for the District of Columbia in opposition to Bill 26-325. The proposed bill effectively bans the Board of Ethics and Government Accountability from determining whether certain government employees must file public financial disclosure statements, the result of which would be the undermining of the District’s ethics laws and concealment of potential conflicts of interest from the public.
