CLC Statement in Support of Virginia SB 584 (Contribution Limits)

On February 9, 2026, Campaign Legal Center submitted written testimony to the Virginia Senate Committee on Privileges and Elections in support of SB 584's provisions to establish contribution limits for candidates and political committees. Our comments highlight the important anti-corruption role contribution limits play in our democracy and outline how contribution limits have long been a constitutional cornerstone of campaign finance law.
