CLC Statement in Support of New Hampshire HB 1838

On January 15, 2026, Campaign Legal Center submitted a statement to the New Hampshire House Committee on Election Law in support of House Bill 1838, which establishes a new public financing program for the state’s Executive Council candidates. Our comments highlight the benefits of public financing, demonstrate courts’ longstanding approval of these programs as a tool for strengthening our democracy, and make recommendations for strengthening the bill.
