CLC Files Complaint with Postal Regulatory Commission to Challenge Unlawful USPS Rulemaking

On August 4, 2026, Campaign Legal Center and Democracy Defenders Fund filed a complaint with the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) challenging a proposed USPS rule to carry out President Trump's illegal executive order restricting mail voting. The complaint argues that the Postal Service is moving to implement the rule without first obtaining a required advisory opinion from the PRC and that the proposed rule unlawfully discriminates among mail users in violation of postal laws.
