CLC Files Complaint Alleging Donald Trump and Save America Violated Soft Money Ban

On November 14, 2022, Campaign Legal Center (CLC) filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) alleging former president Donald Trump and his leadership PAC, Save America, violated the “soft money” provisions of federal campaign finance law when Trump, a federal candidate, directed the transfer of $20 million from Save America to Make America Great Again, Inc., a super PAC, in connection with the 2022 midterm election.
