CLC Complaint to DOJ Inspector General Regarding FBI Director Kash Patel's Personal Travel

Campaign Legal Center (CLC) asked the Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General to investigate whether the Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Kash Patel violated federal travel regulations and the Standards of Ethical Conduct for Employees of the Executive Branch by failing to reimburse the government for at least 10 trips that involved personal travel using government resources. According to media reports, Patel has used government aircraft to take trips that appear personal in nature, including trips to resorts, sporting events and visits with his girlfriend. If Patel failed to reimburse the federal government for the personal portions of these trips, he may have violated federal regulations.
