CLC Alleges Federal Contractor Illegally Contributed $100,000 to Letlow-Supporting Super PAC
On August 26, 2026, Campaign Legal Center (CLC) filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) alleging that MMR Constructors, Inc. (MMRC), a federal contractor based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, illegally contributed $100,000 to a super PAC supporting Rep. Julia Letlow. By making this illegal contribution to support Letlow, who currently represents Louisiana’s 5th Congressional District — where MMRC is based — and is the Republican 2026 general election candidate for the U.S. Senate in Louisiana, MMRC appears to have violated a longstanding legal protection against “pay to play” corruption.
