Challenging the Consolidation and Distribution of Federal Citizenship Data for Voter Purges (League of Women Voters v. US Dept. of Homeland Sec.)

On April 3, 2026, Campaign Legal Center, Common Cause, Center for Media and Democracy, and Protect Democracy filed an amicus brief in League of Women Voters v. DHS. The brief urged the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to stop the federal government from unlawfully centralizing Americans' sensitive personal data in the SAVE system to create a national voter database.
