On Monday, April 7, 2025, plaintiffs in the consolidated cases LULAC v. Executive Office of the President and League of Women Voters Education Fund v. Trump jointly filed a Motion for Preliminary Injunction asking the District Court to issue an order preventing the Election Assistance Commission from taking any action to implement Section 2(a) of President Trump's March 25, 2025, executive order on voting.
