Brief Opposing Petition for Certiorari

On December 29, 2023, Campaign Legal Center (CLC), the UCLA Voting Rights Project, and the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF) filed a brief at the U.S. Supreme Court opposing a request that the Court consider this case. After Plaintiffs’ win in the district court, the Intervenors in this case attempted to appeal. This brief explains to the Supreme Court why the decision by the district court was correct and why none of the reasons given by the Intervenors are sufficient for the Court to grant review.
