Amicus Brief by Make All Votes Count DC in the District of Columbia Court of Appeals

On behalf of Make All Votes Count DC, CLC sought leave to file an amicus brief in the District of Columbia Court of Appeals to defend Initiative 83 from a partisan attempt to prevent a pro-democracy ballot initiative from reaching D.C. voters. Initiative 83 proposed instituting ranked choice voting in all D.C. elections and enabling independent voters not registered with any political party to vote in D.C. primary elections.
