Amicus Brief in Kivett v. North Carolina State Board of Elections — NC Supreme Court

On behalf of Secure Families Initiative and Count Every Hero, CLC along with co-counsel Selendy Gay and the Southern Coalition for Southern Justice sought leave to file an amicus brief in the North Carolina Supreme Court, to defend against an effort by partisan actors that would upend the counting of absentee ballots across the state and disenfranchise many eligible voters, including North Carolinians serving in the armed forces and their families posted overseas.
