Americans for Prosperity v. Meyer — 9th Circuit Decision

On September 30, 2026, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals issued a decision in Americans for Prosperity v. Meyer affirming the dismissal of both facial and as-applied challenges to Proposition 211, also known as the Voters’ Right to Know Act, which requires disclosure of the original source of all major contributions used to pay for campaign media spending. CLC Action represented Voters’ Right to Know, the PAC created to support Proposition 211, as an Intervenor-Defendant in this suit brought by Americans for Prosperity and the Americans for Prosperity Foundation. This decision upholds Proposition 211, protecting Arizona voters’ right to know who is spending to influence their decisions when they cast their ballots.
