Lucas Della Ventura
Lucas received his J.D. from William & Mary Law School in 2024, where he was co-president of Revive My Vote, a student led nonpartisan organization that helps eligible Virginians regain the right to vote. Lucas was selected to be an Election Law Fellow with William & Mary’s Election Law Program during all three years of law school. In addition, he served as a Notes Editor on the William & Mary Environmental Law and Policy Review. In the spring of 2024, Lucas published several papers on election law including his note proposing a novel defense of campaign finance disclosure regulations, a co-published article on international comparative redistricting transparency, and a historical account of felony disenfranchisement and voter restoration in Virginia from 1830 to 2024.
During law school, Lucas gained valuable insight into federal regulatory frameworks at the Federal Election Commission and the Government Accountability Office. Lucas also developed perspective into judicial decision making and analysis by interning as a judicial clerk with the Honorable Mary S. McElroy of the U.S. District Court of Rhode Island and the Honorable S. Bernard Goodwyn, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia. Lucas joined CLC in September of 2024.
