Beverly Martin

Judge Beverly Martin is the Executive Director for NYU Law’s Center on Civil Justice which is dedicated to the study of the US civil justice system. She was appointed by President Obama to the US Court of Appeals for Eleventh Circuit. Before that, she served on the US District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and spent time as a US attorney and assistant attorney general for the State of Georgia. Her legal career began at the law firm Martin, Snow, Grant & Napier, in Georgia, where her family has practiced law for four generations.
