While the volume of mailed ballots in Florida has increased, the fact that the state has made no-excuses-required vote-by-mail ballots routine should help it avert some problems other states might encounter on election night, said Trevor Potter, president of the Campaign Legal Center. “Some states are really well prepared for absentee voting because they do it all the time," Potter said during a webcast panel discussion Thursday. Danielle Lang, co-director of voting rights and redistricting at Campaign Legal Center, said voters need to understand: "We never know all of the election results on election night."
