“This is an extraordinary year. We have never before seen this number of lawsuits across the country on election issues. Partly, this is because of COVID-19, and the need to accommodate people who don’t want to be in crowded polling places,” said Trevor Potter, president of Campaign Legal Center. “What we are seeing here—and what is disturbing—is that states that loosened voting rules for the primaries are now tightening them up again for the General Election.”
