Oregon lawmakers close to releasing final congressional, legislative district maps

Democratic lawmakers’ first plan would disproportionately favor Democrats according to analyses by The Oregonian/OregonLive and other entities including PlanScore, a project of the nonpartisan Campaign Legal Center and polling, politics and sports statistics website fivethirtyeight.com. Democrats would likely win five of the six congressional seats under Democrats’ plan resulting in an Oregon delegation of 86% Democrats, The Oregonian/OregonLive found. That compares to 56% of Oregon voters who chose Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election.
