New House and Senate maps put ‘thumb on the scale’ for Democrats, analysis shows

 John M. Marion, executive director of Common Cause Rhode Island, told the commission he had uploaded some of the proposed maps to the Campaign Legal Center’s PlanScore.org site, which evaluates whether redistricting maps nationwide are “fair or gerrymandered.” The scores range from 18 percent Democratic gerrymandered to 18 percent Republican gerrymandered, with zero as the midpoint, Marion told the commission.
