“It’s a classic case of those with money having a louder voice when it comes to policies in Washington, D.C.,” said Corey Goldstone, spokesman for the election watchdog group Campaign Legal Center. Pharmaceutical companies have long had a prominent and concerning influence through lobbying and donations on Capitol Hill, and Bay State pols need to be transparent about their impact, said Campaign Legal Center’s Goldstone. “Those donations speak loudly and they have the potential to crowd out the voices of regular people who don’t have that kind of money,” Goldstone said.
