Kelley Paul, wife of Rand Paul, defends stock buy in company that makes COVID-19 treatment

The nonpartisan, Washington, D.C.-based Campaign Legal Center announced Thursday it lodged a complaint with the Senate Ethics Committee over Rand Paul's late disclosure about the stock buy. The CLC stressed that federal law doesn't excuse late filings, saying: "The harm of late filings is that they defeat the purpose of the STOCK Act, which is real time disclosure of potential conflicts of interest and insider trading."
