'Irresistible' Is a Flat Line In Search of a Point

Irresistible goes out on a minor high note with some end credits shenanigans before Stewart dampens the mood with a clip featuring former Federal Election Commission chairman Trevor Potter talking about how the events of the film could legitimately happen due to current rules and our broken system. It’s a very real issue, but hiding it in the tail end of a lightweight comedy arguing that both sides are both good and bad lessens the film to mere fluff.
