House ethics panel to continue probe of Rep. Kelly over wife's purchase of stock in steel firm

Kelly may face another ethics probe if the Office of Congressional Ethics takes up a complaint filed by the Campaign Legal Center over Kelly's use of funds in his leadership PAC during the 2019-2020 cycle. The Campaign Legal Center, in conjunction with the group Issue One, publicized a report on Sept. 30 that examined how members of Congress used their leadership PACs. The Campaign Legal Center has asked the OCE to review whether "luxury trips, transportation, dining" paid for by Kelly's PAC violate House rules, which prohibit funds from being used to personally benefit members.
