FEC dismisses complaints filed against Louis DeJoy alleging straw donor scheme

Brendan Fischer, the director of federal reform at Campaign Legal Center, which filed the other FEC complaint against DeJoy, noted in a statement to CNN that DeJoy did not even file a response to the group's complaint in the FEC review. Fischer critiqued the FEC's failure to "even muster 4 votes to ask the DOJ about the status of any straw donor criminal probe." "This is yet another example of how the FEC's failure to enforce the law has allowed wealthy special interests to rig the system in their favor," Fischer said.
