Deal to end lawsuits over voter purge program almost done

The civil rights groups brought three lawsuits — filed in San Antonio, Corpus Christi and Galveston — alleging the voter purge program illegally targeted immigrant voters and resulted in voter intimidation. The suits were consolidated into the lead case, which was filed by LULAC and the Washington, D.C.-based Campaign Legal Center in San Antonio.
