Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians, Spirit Lake Nation, et al., v. Jaeger: U.S. District Court for the District of North Dakota Eastern Division - Complaint

The Spirit Lake Nation, Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians and individual Native voters filed suit in federal court in North Dakota alleging that North Dakota’s 2021 state legislative map violates Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act by cracking and packing Native voters in the northeastern part of the state, denying those voters’ an equal opportunity to elect candidates of choice to the North Dakota legislature.
