Statement in Support of a Chicago Public Financing Program

Campaign Legal Center submitted a statement to the Chicago City Council’s Committee on Ethics and Government Oversight in support of a public financing program for Chicago elections. Our comments highlight the benefits of public financing, based on studies across the country, and courts’ longstanding approval of these programs as a tool for strengthening our democracy.
