RNC (Cao) v. FEC: Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals Amici Brief of CLC & Democracy 21 in Support of the FEC

Court Level
Fifth Circuit

Amicus brief file by the Campaign Legal Center and Democracy 21 in support of Defendant-Appellee. Amici argue that the challenged federal coordination restrictions, see 2 U.S.C. §§ 441a(d)(2-3), 441a(a)(2)(A), and 441a(a)(7)(B)(i), are constitutional. Accordingly, the Court should reject plaintiffs’ certified questions, and affirm the district court’s grant of summary judgment in favor of the FEC.
