NVRA Notice Letter Re: Alabama Naturalized Citizen Voter Purge

Along with national and Alabama-based partners, CLC sent a letter to Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen, putting the secretary and other Alabama officials on notice that Alabama’s announced program of purging naturalized citizens from its voter rolls shortly before the November 2024 election violates the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA). CLC and partner organizations are demanding that Alabama immediately cease its unlawful program targeting naturalized citizens and that the Secretary of State’s office provide records about the development and implementation of the program, as required by the NVRA.
