Campaign Legal Center Action (CLCA) filed a motion for summary judgment and accompanying brief in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, on behalf of plaintiffs Common Cause Georgia and Treaunna Dennis against the Federal Election Commission (FEC).



The brief argues that the FEC acted contrary to law when it dismissed plaintiffs’ allegations that True the Vote made, and the Georgia Republican Party accepted and failed to disclose, illegal corporate contributions in the form of coordinated expenditures during the 2021 U.S. Senate runoff elections in Georgia—contrary to the recommendations of the agency’s nonpartisan, career attorneys and despite undisputed evidence that True the Vote provided election-related services in “partnership” with the Georgia GOP in response to the Party’s express request for assistance in the runoff elections, and shortly thereafter, implemented a mass challenge to the eligibility of over 360,000 Georgia voters.

Plaintiffs seek a court order setting aside the FEC’s unjustified refusal to enforce federal campaign finance law.
