McComish v. Bennett: Supreme Court Amici Brief of the State of Iowa et al. in Support of Bennett

Amicus brief filed by the States of Iowa, Connecticut, Maryland, New Mexico and Vermont in support of Respondents. The States believe that the Act should be analyzed under the exacting scrutiny standard of review. Amici agree with the Ninth Circuit that the Act does not offend the First Amendment as Arizona’s interest in combating corruption or the appearance thereof is substantially related to its public financing scheme.
